Last weekend my single friend Tom challenged himself to find his next date – OFFLINE

Tom Greaves didn’t want to meet his next date online. So he challenged himself to meet strangers face-to-face. The heartwarming result is a tale of modern romance by BAFTA-nominated director Samuel Abrahams. Shot in East London over one weekend, the film questions the status quo of internet dating, by challenging Abrahams’s newly-single friend Greaves to find his next date — offline — and sparking an international press and social media debate on the effects of technology on dating. Featured in The Guardian, USA Today, The Daily Mail, among other outlets, the film is a VOTD winner, a Shots.net contender, and a winner of a Lovie Award, which celebrates Europe’s best online content. It was nominated for Best Short Film at the Webbys and also received an honorary mention in the Editing category. “Offline Dating” made its worldwide theatrical premiere as part of the Official Selection of the BFI London Film Festival, and its North American premiere at Seattle International Film Festival.
